Frequently Asked Questions

About the Trexo

How does the Trexo Home work?

Trexo Home works by gently moving your child’s legs in a preset custom gait pattern. The gait pattern of the device is set up together with a Trexo team member or a Trexo trained Physical Therapist to ensure it is safe and comfortable for the child.

The Trexo device is tablet operated by a trained adult. Trexo Robotics requires training in order to ensure the system is safe to use. Information regarding training will be provided along with your notification of delivery. It is included with your purchase of the Trexo.

The Trexo Home has a number of features for a personalized experience. Depending on your child’s needs, you may adjust the amount of weight bearing, the gait pattern, speed of the device, and level of assist. The active assist feature may be used by children who have some ability to initiate steps or walk. You may also adjust the Rifton Accessories including the use of the arm prompts, chest prompts, and saddle.

You can find more information about the Trexo Features here and how the Rifton Dynamic Pacer works with the Trexo here.

Is the Rifton Dynamic Pacer included with the purchase of a Trexo Home?

The Rifton Dynamic Pacer is not included with the purchase of a Trexo Home. We use a standard off the shelf dynamic pacer and install our system on it.

You will need to obtain your dynamic pacer prior to the delivery of your Trexo Home to ensure that we can provide the fitting and training with a fully assembled system. If you need a Rifton Dynamic Pacer and cannot obtain one separately, we can assist you with the purchase in addition to the Trexo at a discounted price. Please contact [email protected] for further information.

Please connect with a Trexo Representative first, if you plan to purchase a pacer specifically for the use of the Trexo. Rifton Pacers may be sized differently for Trexo use than advised by your DME.

Trexo Home is only compatible with the Dynamic pacer and may not used with the Utility base.
